$20 Medical Cannabis Card Online in Kahului

Kahului residents may encounter advertisements promoting online medical cannabis certification or card-related services for approximately $20. That amount should not be interpreted as the complete cost of obtaining an official Hawaiʻi 329 registration.

The state application alone costs $38.50 for a new one-year patient, and a qualifying applicant must also receive certification from an eligible physician or APRN.

Hawaiʻi allows an initial applicant to establish the required bona fide provider-patient relationship through an in-person or telehealth appointment. The medical provider must still conduct the evaluation and certification required by the state.

After the patient completes the application, it is sent to the certifying medical provider. The physician or APRN certifies the medical condition and forwards the application to DOH for review and approval.

Hawaiʻi also caps the amount charged specifically for medical cannabis certification. The evaluation and issuance of a one-year certification may cost no more than $105.

A $20 online promotion in Kahului should therefore generally be viewed as a discounted portion of the process rather than the full expense of becoming a registered Hawaiʻi medical cannabis patient.
